Craftsmanship, Culture, and the Port of Yokohama

Explore the world of miyadaiku, Japan’s master carpenters responsible for building and restoring shrines and temples using traditional techniques—without nails or metal, relying solely on intricate wooden joinery known as kigumi.
This tour takes place at the Former Kawamoto Residence, a beautifully preserved Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Here, a professional miyadaiku will demonstrate their skills, and you’ll get hands-on experience with wood joinery and planing, all while dressed in traditional hanten (work coat) and tenugui headband.
At the end, you'll receive a certificate of completion to mark your achievement.

🅰 Noge Bar Hopping Tour

Venture into the vibrant nightlife of Noge, one of Yokohama’s most colorful local districts. Accompanied by a local guide, visit a variety of bars—from historic standing bars to creative craft cocktail spots—and enjoy a casual evening of drinks, stories, and Yokohama’s authentic local flavor.

🅱 Local Boat Ride to Osanbashi Pier

Board a small local boat from Hinode Pier and cruise back to Osanbashi. Unlike large sightseeing cruises, this low-deck boat offers a close-up view of the harbor and a glimpse into everyday life in this historical port city.
